About

Head and Heart CIC (H&H) is a one‑person Community Interest Company that I set up in May 2026 to help small organisations make the most of the digital tools available to them.

Community benefit

H&H helps individuals, charities, community groups, community interest companies and small private enterprises across the UK by offering free and low-cost digital transformation support and practical guidance on establishing and operating CICs.

Open-source repository

H&H publishes a cost-free open-source repository of frameworks, guides and software tools aimed at helping charities, community interest companies, community groups and small organisations, to gain greater benefit from the information systems and technologies available to them.

Accessible digital-transformation consultancy

H&H offers an online digital-transformation consultancy service to charities, community groups, community interest companies and small private enterprises with an accessible fee structure

Commercial consultation is also available, subject to capacity, at the standard rate of £1,000 a day plus expenses with the proceeds going towards H&H’s community benefit work.

Living case study

Publishes an open-source repository of information and practical guidance based on the experience of running H&H to help individuals, community groups and small organisations make informed decisions about whether to establish a CIC, and to set up and run one effectively.

Governance

As a Community of Interest Company, H&H is legally obliged to put community benefit before profit. To ensure this, H&H is registered at Companies House and overseen by the Office of the Regulator of Community Interest Companies.

In addition, the internal governance of H&H is conducted openly by publishing the standing orders used for day-to-day operations, and a public log of governance decisions and their rationale.
