Head and Heart CIC’s mission, as laid out in its Articles of Association and its Community Benefit Statement, is:

To benefit the community and in particular individuals, charities, community groups, Community Interest Companies and small private enterprises across the UK by offering free and low-cost digital transformation support and practical guidance on establishing and operating CICs.

Head and Heart CIC (H&H) is primarily an open-source digital transformation resource publisher. These resources include adaptable frameworks for solving practical problems, clarification pieces to deepen understanding of relevant technologies and concepts, and guides to free resources that organisations can use to nurture capability.

The coaching service I offer is there as a fallback for when there’s no substitute for direct support, but I try my best to create resources that eliminate that need. As long as that is an impossible task, H&H will be self-funding.

In principle, if I ever did succeed in producing an open-source library that eliminates the need for the coaching service then that will be the ultimate success for H&H. In practice, by the time I reach that stage with any technological advance another one will have come along bringing a fresh set of challenges.
